Switch 2 may support “Mandarin” and “Cantonese” to call animals in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Hitachi Solutions Inc. announced that its multilingual voice command recognition system “Ruby Spotter” now offers system-level support for the Switch 2 console.
Now in games, developers can utilize the console’s built-in microphone to configure voice input, recognition, and other operations.

Even more exciting is that “Ruby Spotter” supports over 40 languages, including Mandarin and Cantonese. It has a low resource footprint, doesn’t affect game performance, and boasts strong noise filtering capabilities and high recognition accuracy.
In the upcoming Switch 2 enhanced version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons releasing on January 15th, this new feature may allow players to use Mandarin or Cantonese to call out to their animals.
