First Nintendo Direct in 2026 is coming soon?
This year must be “a Year of Nintendo Switch 2”. But till now, Nintendo haven’t announced any news about new Nintendo Direct event.
Recently, Twitter user said Nintendo will announce the first Nintendo Direct soon, but still can’t confirm when it is. Also he mentioned there will be something about third party games in this direct.
Then another famouns X user Nash Weedle commented on this post and said there’s something before the General Direct.
Normally, Nintendo Direct will take place in March every year. Last year, they make this event on 27th March, confirmed many big games on that Direct, e.g. Rhythm Heaven, Dragon Quest I & II Remake, Pokémon Legends: ZA, and Metroid 4.
However, as so many major games are launching on the Switch 2 platform before March this year, I believe that there will definitely be a Nintendo program in January or February, and the timing will most likely be in mid-February.
Also, 2026 is Zelda 40th anniversary and Pokemon 30th anniversary, Nintendo will take us pretty much big events in this year. Stay tuned.
