A Splatoon Player’s Badly Damaged Switch Gets Repaired by Nintendo
Recently, an overseas user Kurosawa Tetsu posted online that his Switch, which he had been playing Splatoon on its dock for years, had developed a serious battery bulging problem.
The battery had ruptured the casing, causing severe deformation of the Switch and even exposing some parts.

After taking advice from other usres, he sent the device to Nintendo’s official service station for repair. Then in half month, he received his Switch back from Nintendo. To his surprise, the device, which had been severely damaged, was completely restored to its original condition.

He assumed that Nintendo had replaced the device with a new one and even checked the games and account settings, finding that they were no different from before the repair.
What is more amazing, Nintendo said the total repair cost was only 5,747 yen, which is pretty cheap.
