IGN Poland said Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is developing one DLC with a new area
Not long ago, we reported on rumors about The Witcher 3. According to Polish analysts, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is in the process of developing a brand new large-scale DLC.
Analysts said the new DLC will launch in May 2026, to celebrate with the game’s 11th anniversary. The price is rumored to be around $30.
This DLC will fill in the gaps in the story between Witcher 3 and Witcher 4, it’s the foundation for CD Projekt Red’s next game Witcher 4.

IGN Poland recently confirmed the rumor, stating that they had heard about developers working on expansion packs for the game several years ago, but due to limited sources at that time, they didn’t report on it.
IGN Poland suggests that this new DLC for The Witcher 3 may introduce a completely new exploration area; unlike the original frozen northern region, the new map will likely be a desert area.
Currently, The Witcher 3 has two major DLCs: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Next-gen upgrades have been released for PC and PS5, but a Switch 2 upgrade has not yet been released.
Personally, I think The Witcher 3 is definitely the most worthwhile third-party game to buy on the Switch. I hope that CD Projekt Red will release the Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3 along with this “new DLC” in this May.
